VIEWING BASICS
What is streaming media?
“Streaming media” is audio, video or other multimedia presentations that play from the Internet. Whether it's a live event streaming in
real-time, or a pre-recorded video.
Do I have to endure a lengthy download prior to seeing the stream?
No, that’s the beauty! Streaming media does not require any downloading. The stream begins playing on your PC after only a few seconds of "buffering." The buffering process allows your computer to accumulate enough material to ensure an uninterrupted viewing experience.
Do I have to endure buffering throughout the stream?
No. Our worldwide server network ensures that you will receive a high-quality stream regardless of your location in the U.S, or around the World.
The quality is so great! I’ve seen other on-line video that doesn’t look nearly as good. How does EventStreams do it?
We’ve spent more than five years perfecting the streaming process, and the key to our high-quality lies in: our superior streaming network, our extensive technical experience and our creative talent.
I have a Macintosh. Do I need to do anything special to watch a stream?
You will need the free Windows Media Player for Mac by Microsoft, or QuickTime and the free Windows Media Components for QuickTime by Flip4Mac (recommended).
I don’t hear any sound. What’s wrong?
Make sure you have a sound card, and your speakers are plugged in. Check the volume settings on your speakers, your computer and on the media player. If you’re still having problems, contact us for technical support by email or telephone.
