WORKING WITH EVENTSTREAMS

I have existing video – will you put it on my website for me?

Yes! We will work with you to turn your existing video into a multi-media presentation.

I’ve got an idea for a video and/or multimedia presentation. How soon can EventStreams finish a project for me?

Most projects are completed within one month, from concept to delivery. Just give us a call to talk about the specific details and scope of the project you have in mind.

What is the range of services that EventStreams provides?

EventStreams provides a turnkey solution for your streaming media needs. We specialize in helping you throughout the production process, from brainstorming ideas to creating and distributing an interactive media experience for your viewers. Our expert production team is ready to help with all aspects of your project including: script writing, video shoots, still photography, editing and post-production, graphic design, animation, web design, programming, and streaming.

Does EventStreams only work in Atlanta ?

No. Although our studio is in Atlanta, we work with clients world-wide. Our network of production crews allows us to accommodate video shoots almost anywhere.

PRESENTING YOUR CONTENT

How do I present streaming media material on my website?

Simply embed a link into your webpage or any other electronic application. As long as you have Internet connectivity when you click the link, you will be able to access our servers and access the media presentation.

I already have a website and web server, why would I need EventStreams to host the material for me?

Our network is designed with video in mind, which means the quality of your video will be better if we host it for you. However, there are a few options you can consider if you need an alternate solution. Our technical experts are always willing to work with your IT department to provide a solution that will work for your network.

What kind of tracking is involved? How can I tell who viewed my video?

We provide aggregate data for each stream, including: how many people watched it, for how long and on what bandwidth. You can also use your own website analytics to track who clicked through to your site from the video page. Also, if you use an email CRM program you will know how many people opened the email and who clicked through to the video.

VIEWING BASICS

What is streaming media?

“Streaming media” is audio, video or other multimedia presentations that play from the Internet. Whether it's a live event streaming in
real-time, or a pre-recorded video.

Do I have to endure a lengthy download prior to seeing the stream?

No, that’s the beauty! Streaming media does not require any downloading. The stream begins playing on your PC after only a few seconds of "buffering." The buffering process allows your computer to accumulate enough material to ensure an uninterrupted viewing experience.

Do I have to endure buffering throughout the stream?

No. Our worldwide server network ensures that you will receive a high-quality stream regardless of your location in the U.S, or around the World.

The quality is so great! I’ve seen other on-line video that doesn’t look nearly as good. How does EventStreams do it?

We’ve spent more than five years perfecting the streaming process, and the key to our high-quality lies in: our superior streaming network, our extensive technical experience and our creative talent.

I have a Macintosh. Do I need to do anything special to watch a stream?

You will need the free Windows Media Player for Mac by Microsoft, or QuickTime and the free Windows Media Components for QuickTime by Flip4Mac (recommended).

I don’t hear any sound. What’s wrong?

Make sure you have a sound card, and your speakers are plugged in. Check the volume settings on your speakers, your computer and on the media player. If you’re still having problems, contact us for technical support by email or telephone.

CONNECTIVITY/BANDWIDTH

What if I don’t have high-speed Internet access?

EventStreams provides streams in three different bandwidths to make sure everyone can access our content, regardless of connection speed. Our media detector automatically checks your system and provides the stream in the appropriate bandwidth recommended for your system.

What if I have trouble viewing the stream at the recommended bandwidth?

Our media detector automatically checks your system and provides the stream in a bandwidth recommended for your computer. It’s great, but not perfect. Sometimes high traffic or activity on your network may make viewing at high bandwidths more difficult. If you are having trouble watching the stream at the recommended bandwidth, you can manually click another bandwidth setting.
